I love simple, but brilliant ideas that just make you want to smack yourself on the forehead and go "why didn't I think of that?!" This is one of those ideas. Have you ever wanted to make heart shaped cupcakes but didn't want to spend money on a special heart shaped pan? Now you don't have to - all you need is a dozen marbles. In a house full of boys, yep - I got me some marbles!
MusesofMegret.com came up with this great idea - simply line your muffin tin with paper liners, add a marble like above. No boys in the house? Balls of aluminium foil with do the same trick! Carefully fill the liners to a little over 1/2 full. Overfilling will destroy the cute heart affect - which is what you're after, right? Bake, remove from pan, remove marbles, cool and frost! Awesome idea!
