Homemade Microwave Puff Paint

This is a great rainy day activity, and you will most likely have the ingredients on-hand already.  Combine the following in a bowl:

• 1 tablespoon self-rising flour
• a few drops of food coloring
• 1 tablespoon salt

Add enough water to make a nice smooth paste.  You will want to make several "batches" with different colors.  Your kiddos (and you - why should you miss out on all the fun!) can paint away on thick cardboard.  You won't want to use paper - you need something sturdy.
Microwave your work of art on high for 10-30 seconds, depending on how much paint and how thick you've layered it on.  The paint should be puffy and dry.
