DIY Twistbands

Are you familiar with the new Twistband craze?  If you've got long hair or a little girl you'll likely know what I'm talking about.

How it Works
Each Twistband is made of high-quality elastic that keeps braids, buns, and ponytails secured. Because they’re thicker than regular hair ties, they don’t leave crimps in hair.

How to Use
Use the Twistband to secure your favorite hairstyle. When you’re not wearing them in your hair, keep them on your wrists—they look cute and don’t cut off circulation.

Sounds great, right?  And they work!  The only problem is they're really expensive for a simple piece of elastic with a knot in it!  Here's a way for YOU to make your own Twistbands - at a fraction of the cost!  Head to Whimsy And Beauty for a DIY tutorial (it's super-easy!).  Then head to Plaid Barn - their Daily Deal TODAY ONLY is $0.99 per yard for 5/8" fold-over elastic.  Perfect for making Twistbands!  There are 7 colors available - Baby Blue, Black, Glittery Fuchsia, Lavender, Mint, Olive, and Raspberry.
