BOSTON MARKET's CEO George Michel just announced they will take salt shakers off the tables at its 476 locations. Oh really George? Maybe want to rethink this one. I am thinking it just might be my decision to use salt as it is my decision to eat their chicken, their corn bread, their fattening mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, pies, cookies, cake, etc. etc. Maybe they should just close all their locations...all of the items I mentioned being health concerns in one way or another. I would think again before instituting such a broad policy that takes away a choice of mine and anyone else who just might enjoy a little salt. Now as I reread this, bet you released this crazy notion to get publicity for this failing chain. Does McDonalds, your parent company, know you are doing this? And from your PR statement..."Boston Market restaurants offer fresh, delicious, home-style meals just like you would prepare and serve at home if you had the time--without the hassle of preparation and clean-up." I use salt at home when preparing meals George. Any time anyone takes away our individuals right to CHOOSE scares me and millions of others too. Salt not the issue here...my (our) right to choose is. Really now George...
