AWESOME Tom Thumb Deals

OK, folks, I have a little secret to tell you.  I've made several trips to Tom Thumb in the last few days, and have SCORED BIG!  I haven't posted about it because, quite frankly, I've been spending lots of fun quality time with Tim and the kids and this post required a LOT of work.  The boys are at Six Flags today, so while I've got some time, I figured I'd just sit down and write it all out.  It's too good of a deal to let you miss it for my laziness!  I've got your back!  What makes this so great is that these are actually good prices regardless, but it just so happens that we have some GREAT coupons that will DOUBLE to make the prices REALLY GOOD!
This is particularly good stuff if you've got kids heading back to school in a few weeks.  This is a TERRIFIC opportunity to stock up on breakfast and lunch staples.  Here goes.  Tom Thumb is having a big Buy 4, Save $4 promotion THRU Tuesday, 8/14.  Don't go Wednesday - you'll miss it!  You've got three days left to get in on this deal, including today (Sunday).  All the items I am showing you are part of this Buy 4, Save $4 promo.  You can mix and match, and you do NOT have to buy in quantities of 4.  You just have to purchase 4 OR MORE of the participating item, and then you'll get $1 off each normal retail price.  I tested this out and bought 5 participating items, and $1 came off each one.
Here's what I stocked up on:
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks are on sale for $0.99/ea.
You can bring the price down to $0.75 ea/ with this coupon:

Cheerios (just the original yellow box), Cereal Treat Bars (Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Cocoa Puffs) and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal are on sale for $1.49/ea.
These manufacturer coupons will double to $1.00 off, bringing your cost on each of these items to $0.49/ea.

Go-Gurt is on sale for $1.88/ea when you clip the coupon in the Tom Thumb flyer (if you don't have yours for the newspaper, you can always grab one from the front of the store - they have stacks of 'em)
You can bring the price down even further to $1.50/ea. with this coupon:
$0.75 off two Yoplait kid products
TIP:  Grab some with the longest expiration date, then FREEZE 'em.  I stick FROZEN ones in the boys' lunches, and it works as an ice pack & it's ready to be eaten by lunchtime.

Crescent Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls are on sale for $1.69/ea.  These coupons will double to $0.80 off, which lowers the price to just $1.29/ea for the large tubes.
$0.40 off two Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
$0.40 off 2 Pillsbury Grands! Sweet Rolls

There are also LOTS of miscellaneous Fiber ONE bars and brownies that were on sale for $1.99.  These coupons will double to $1.00 off, making the price just $0.99/ea.
$0.50 off Fiber One 90 Calorie Brownies
$0.50 off Fiber One Chewy Bars

NOTE:  I would recommend printing off TWO of each coupon (of whatever you're interested in) from each computer.  But here's the deal on Tom Thumb's coupon policy:  They will only double ONE "like" coupon, any other duplicate coupons will only be at face value.  Thank you, TLC and Extreme Couponing!  So you will have to shop accordingly.

  1. Only use ONE "like" coupon (in other words, no duplicates of the same cents-off for the exact same item).
  2. Purchase at least 4 participating items, so you get the extra $1 off deal.  Either break your purchases into separate transactions, or just go on different days and do the deal again until you've used all your coupons.
This is so you can really MAXIMIZE on your savings, which is what you want to do, right??!  Too much trouble, you say?  I disagree.  In one trip on Friday I paid $5.03 for almost $20 worth of stuff.  In a trip on Saturday I paid $7.70 for nearly $23 worth of stuff.  YOU CAN TOO!  Happy shopping - I'd love it if you come back & comment on how much you saved!!!  :D
