OK, this post ties-in to yesterday's post about pancake art. I've got pancakes on the brain! More specifically, what types of things I can create out of pancake batter. Apparently I'm not the only one - Zach woke up extra early this morning (which is no small feat!) and requested another turtle pancake. Sorry, babe. Not gonna happen on a school day. Then today I came across something called Batter Blaster, and vaguely recall seeing it at Whole Foods one day and thinking "What THE?!?!?" But now.....now that I've discovered pancake art I'm all "Yeah, I'm gettin' me some of that!" This MAY, just MAYBE enable me to make Zach his coveted turtle pancake (or something even cooler) on a school day. Click HERE to download a coupon to Save $0.50 on any Batter Blaster product. Best part about this coupon? It's a PDF file, and doesn't expire until 11/1/12, so you can save it on your computer and print it out whenever your little heart desires. According to their facebook page you can find Batter Blaster in the dairy aisle of most major supermarket chains. It comes in 4 different flavors, so you could definitely do some art by purchasing the chocolate and original bottles. Chocolate pancakes? Mmmmmmmmmm. They even have a Organic Whole Wheat version with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon. I am seriously printing my coupon RIGHT NOW and going to Tom Thumb before school lets out. I am stocking up and making Zach a surprise while he does homework. A pencil maybe? (Can you hear the wheels turning?)
And just a reminder - Jim's Pancakes is what has inspired me, and he's got a new book out. It's on sale on Amazon!
